Global Indian Model United Nations Conference (TGIMUNC in further text)
is issuing a CALL FOR STUDENT DIRECTORS who will perform duties of
chairs, co-chairs, and recording secretaries at the upcoming edition of
the TGIMUNC.

50 Chair and Co-Chair positions are available for university students
50 Secretary positions are available for high school students
In order
to achieve the high quality to which we aspire, we are looking for
creative, talented and experienced student directors who are interested
in building the most prestigious international MUN conference in India.
ROLE OF A STUDENT DIRECTOR AT TGIMUNC
Student Director is a person in charge of all committee activities. Among other things, Student Director will be dealing with:
Writing the Study Guides for the assigned Committee
Assigning Delegates to countries
Screening delegate position papers
Maintaining the communication with delegates
Running the committee sessions

Outstanding Model United Nations Experience

Final year high school or university undergrad student (up to 25 years of age)

Sound oral and written communication skills

Ability to apply former Model UN knowledge and concepts to practical situations

Proven experience using information and technology

Able to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships

Ability to contribute ideas and demonstrate initiative and flexibility in TGIMUNC organizing process

Demonstrated analytical and research skills, especially in the field of committee building and management

Attention to accuracy and detail

Ability to file, retrieve, shelve, and physically organised materials in a high volume environment

Good general knowledge with an interest in reading and current affairs
THE CALL FOR DIRECTOR PROCESS
All shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Skype interview
The selection committee will consist of TGIMUNC Organizing Board members and MUNPlanet Board members.
Together
with the organizing board of TGIMUNC, MUNPlanet will read the
submissions and generate a report of suggested candidates for committee
spots. The selection committee will have until the end of January to
actively negotiate on final selections, at which time the winners will
be announced. The board may elect not to fill a particular spot if an
acceptable candidate is not available.
All
accepted candidates will be joining the organizing team immediately upon
selection. The visa and travel costs, accommodation and meals for the
duration of candidate’s stay in India will be covered by the conference
organizers.
