Arthālaya


To realize the vision of a prosperous Nepal, young people have an eminent role to play. Be it in taking the first step towards enterprise building or towards shouldering the risk and leadership it takes to be innovative and creative. 
Arthālaya (School of Entrepreneurship and Economics) is a five day workshop promoting the spirit and skill of entrepreneurship and sensitizing young people about economic freedom and policy regime.  

The main purpose of this program is to help young people explore alternative ideas for Nepal’s existing problems; to help young people understand the value of entrepreneurship and to help them learn the know how of building new businesses and inject new ideas into the economy for promoting economic reform. The program will include mock debates; business simulations that will help youth understand the importance of entrepreneurship, implications of various policy measures and role of private sector and government in economic reform. There will be case studies, lectures from experts and various experiences sharing sessions.

Eligibility:
  • For participation, applicants must be currently enrolled in undergraduate or post graduate program in any faculty.
  • Applicants are required to be between 18-26 years of age in order to participate in Arthalaya.
 Upcoming arthâlaya is scheduled for: 
18th Batch: March 27, 2014 - April 1, 2014 
Location: Dhulikhel
 Commitment fee: NRs. 4,999/-

). Various scholarship schemes are available. Details available in the application form.
The organizers will bear all participants' board and meal expenses during the 6 days/5 nights stay in Dhulikhel.

Note:
1. The selection procedure will take place in three rounds; one through application form and short listed candidate to group discussion after which an individual interview will be taken.
2. Only 24 students will be selected to attend the workshop.
3. Selected candidates will informed by either email, phone or announced in our website (www.samriddhi.org) on March 23, 2014.
4. Participants are required to attend all the sessions in order to receive the Certificate of Graduation
5. Commitment fee: NRs. 4,999/- with several scholarship (Payable only when selected)

6. Last date for submission of application forms:  
a. Early Deadline: March 16, 2014, Sunday (Applications submitted by this date will be eligible for receiving up to 50% scholarship (based on requirement and merit when scholarship decisions are made.) 
b. Final Deadline: March 20, 2014, Thursday (eligible for scholarship up to 25%)

Only short listed candidates (chosen on the basis of application form) will be contacted.

Note: Participants are required to attend all the sessions in order to receive the Certificate of Graduation. Since Arthalaya is a residential school, participants cannot leave the school for personal reasons any hour or have visitors.
