The 2nd Asia-Pacific Political Leadership Program Call for Applications

The Institute for Peace and Democracy (IPD), collaborates with Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Australian Aid for International Development (AusAID), Australian Labor International (ALI) and Centre for Democratic Institutions (CDI),is holding the second Asia-Pacific Political Leadership Program (APLP2). The session is to be held at IPD headquarters in Bali, Indonesia on 25 September – 2 October 2013, consisting of leadership training and policy development for young, reform-minded political party members from Asia, Pacific and North Africa.
The APLP2 is currently seeking applications from young, emerging party activists in fifteen countries –Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Timor Leste, Tunisia, Vanuatu and Vietnam, with the following requirements:
· Age range from 25-35 years old;
· Have at least 2-3 years of political experience;
· Have a track record of leadership, political activism, and a deep commitment to strengthening their own political parties;
· Fluency in English, both in spoken  and  written.
IPD and partners – will cover the cost of the training program of selected candidates, including their transportation, accommodation, meals, visa, etc.We extend the deadline for the application to 25 August 2013.
