BRAC Bank SME Photography Competition 2013
BRAC Bank – country’s largest SME Bank – presents “SME Photography Competition 2013”.
If you are a photographer by passion, whip out your camera and enter this competition if you feel that the success stories of Small and Medium Enterprises should be told.
This is a two-phase competition
Phase 1: Registration and Short-listing
In this first phase, interested photographers will register and submit 5 photographs that you took to get shortlisted. These photos could be your favorite or best shot
- showcasing the spirit of Bangladesh, the potential of its people and/or its trade, or anything that you feel tells a story
- Not more than 1 MB in size in each file
Your photo submitted at this stage will be assessed by a panel of jury.
At least 20 photographers will be shortlisted from the registered ones at end of Phase 1.
Phase 2: Assignment and Final Award
In this second phase, selected photographers from the initial entries will be going through a ‘training and grooming session’. Afterwards, they will be assigned different SME businesses in different parts of the country.
You will submit a photo story regarding the business, its impact and the story untold. Your submission will then be reviewed by a panel of Jury. A single winner will be announced by BRAC Bank with a prize money worth Taka 150,000.
ENTRY ELIGIBILITY:
• Age 18-30 years
• Bangladeshi nationals who are currently residing in Bangladesh
(Please note that any employee of BRAC Bank, BRAC Bank subsidiaries, Grey Dhaka, Brand Cart and Partners (Radio Foorti, Independent Television, Fujifilm, Ice Business Times) is not eligible to take part in the competition.)
Initial Photograph Subject:
- 5 Best snaps taken by you showcasing the spirit of Bangladesh, the potential of its people and/or its trade, or anything that you feel tells a story
- Each file not over 1MB in size
JUDGING:
Photos will be short listed on the basis of creativity, photographic quality, and effectiveness in conveying the contest theme by a panel of judges from BRAC Bank and other renowned photographers of the country.
PRIZES:
• Final winners will get a chance to win TK 150,000.
• Final Winning photo-essays will be featured in a Coffee Table Book.
• Selected assignment photographs will be exhibited in an exhibition arranged by BRAC Bank.
Photographs must be appropriate for posting on a public website. Any questionable content will not be considered for the competition. BRAC Bank Limited retains sole discretion as to what constitutes questionable content.
Photographer/Copyright
• Your submission of the photo and entry form is your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of the photo. BRAC Bank has the sole authority to disqualify a participant for any kind of breach of copyright
• Participants must show their National ID card for final assignment
• BRAC Bank will not be responsible for any kind of accidents of participants during the assignment phase.
Ownership/User Rights
BRAC Bank will not use the images submitted in the first phase for any commercial purpose. However photographs submitted after the final assignment can be displayed on the BRAC Bank website, social media sites, and publications without any fee or other form of compensation. All copy rights of the finally submitted photographs will be reserved with BRAC Bank.
