Rural Integrated Development Services, Nepal (RIDS-Nepal) is a Local,
Not for Profit, Social Development Organization dedicated to improve
people's overall quality and standard of life, through holistic,
long-term, integrated rural community development programs. RIDS-Nepal is seeking applications from qualified Nepali citizens for its Holistic Community Development Projects' position of an Administration and Account Assistant to be deputed in its Humla office (100% Humla based). EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED • Minimum Intermediate degree in accounting/management/other relevant field. • Minimum one year of relevant working experience in a similar position. • Expected to have good in written and spoken Nepali and English. • Good working knowledge in MS Office Applications. • Working experience on cooperative program at community level will be an added advantage. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Accounting Functions: • Maintain accounts for incomes and expenditures and report it to the Head Office on monthly basis. • Ensure that the local wages and other project related payments are paid in a timely manner. • Manage petty cash transactions of Humla office • Reconcile bank accounts including check tracking system on monthly basis • Ensure all transactions are adequately documented and have received required approval 2. Procurement and Store Management Functions:• Maintain store ledgers of fixed assets, expendables and projects materials • Ensure that goods requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt notes, shipment form and order/contracts for goods & services are serially numbered, recorded in the store system and filed. • Ensure that physical verifications of all inventory are carried out on every six months • Prepare and submit write off and disposal plan of inventory based on the result of physical verifications 3. Administrative and others:• Maintain and keep up to date records of all official files as defined by the management • Maintain record for all the incoming and outgoing materials and ensure timely transportation of project materials • Establish daily attendance system in Humla office and ensure that employee leave records are up to date • Ensure that all field based employee prepare and submit their monthly time card • Ensure that administrative systems are functional in Humla offices • To be willing to and take leadership role as directed by RIDS-Nepal Management • To maintain regular communications with RIDS-Nepal management Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV (including 2 references, expected salary, a recent passport size photo, a day time telephone contact number) and a brief cover letter explaining why you should be considered as an outstanding candidate for this position electronically to email rids-nepal@rids-nepal.org by Kartik 16, 2070 (November 2, 2013).
