UNIS Hanoi Scholarship Programme

The UNIS Hanoi Scholarship Programme is entering its third year, and this year we have doubled the programme with FOUR SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR 14-15 SCHOOL YEAR.
The UNIS Hanoi Scholarship Programme gives the opportunity for Vietnamese students from a low socio-economic background, who are excelling at their local Hanoi district school to enter UNIS Hanoi with a full (100%) fees waiver until graduation.
The students will graduate with the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

UNIS Hanoi Scholarship 2014-15 academic year intake

Four Scholarships will be available for entry to UNIS Hanoi in the 2014-2015 academic year.

THIS YEAR'S PROGRAMME OPENED FOR APPLICATIONS ON OCTOBER 1

Students may apply to the UNIS Hanoi Scholarship Programme for entry to:

• Grade 8
• Grade 9
• Grade 10.

In all cases, the 100% Scholarship will be valid until their graduation from UNIS Hanoi.
We look forward to receiving applications from eligible students to start the school year 2014-15. Applications close December 31, 2013. (Please see the timeline below)

Eligibility criteria

The Students applying for the Scholarship Programme at UNIS Hanoi must:

• Hold or be eligible to hold a Vietnamese passport and should have permanent residence no more than one hour of transport from UNIS Hanoi. Applicants are required to provide a copy of Household registration book (hộ khẩu).
• Graduate from Grade 12 at UNIS Hanoi before their 20th Birthday, hence:
  • For Grade 8 entry, students must be born after June 30, 1999
  • For Grade 9 entry, students must be born after June 30, 1998
  • For Grade 10 entry, students must be born after June 30, 1997
• Have gained no less than 8.0 in English for the last two full academic years.
• Have gained an average annual grade of 8.5 or above for the last two full academic years.
• Complete the UNIS Hanoi Scholarship Application Form in full and provide all required documentation.
• Make a full financial declaration and be from a household with total actual income of no more than 10 million VND.

Week of January 20	Semester 1 school results requested
Week of February 18	Longlist (1st round) finalists informed and testing scheduled at UNIS Hanoi (Standardized English proficiency test, English essay, Non-Verbal online Testing)
Early March	Home visits may be requested
Week of May 20	Shortlist finalists are invited to UNIS Hanoi for interview and testing
Early June	Successful candidates are offered a Scholarship place

Please use the Application Checklist in the Application Package to ensure you have a complete application. All applicants are strongly encouraged to submit applications well before deadline.
