About LDI Africa
Young African Diaspora, who are interested in contributing to the
development of their native country or adopted home on the African
continent, are struggling to professionally integrate after years of
living abroad. Oftentimes these young professionals, who have an
international education and work experience, are unfamiliar with African
ways of doing business. At the same time, African companies and
nonprofits are struggling to recruit personnel that have the knowledge
and expertise to help them successfully compete in an increasingly
competitive marketplace. LDI Africa is a nonprofit social enterprise
that connects African professionals and organizations to the global
marketplace through skilled volunteer service. We do this by deploying
the talents of young professionals from around the world to emerging
for-profit and nonprofit institutions in Africa.
About the Emerging Institutions Fellowship Program (EIFP
The Emerging Institutions Fellowship Program (EIFP) provides hands-on
service opportunities for emerging young business and development
leaders from around the world at Africa’s leading for-profit and
nonprofit firms. Fellows collaborate with these firms to work on
financial inclusion for marginalized entrepreneurs, social enterprise
and international development projects. The EIFP is designed to match
financial capital invested in emerging African businesses with the human
capital needed to take these institutions to scale.
